Akshay Kumar-Starrer Kesari’s Set In Satara Catches Fire
Mumbai: A massive fire broke out on the sets of Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar’s much-anticipated upcoming movie ‘Kesari’, based on 1897 Battle of Saragarhi, on Tuesday.
The set, built in Wai, 30 km away from Maharashtra’s Satara district, was burnt to ashes. Other equipment and camera were also damaged.
According to reports, a bomb used for filming exploded while shooting a war sequence and embers fell on the set material. However, there was no injury or casualty in the incident. Akshay wrapped up and left late afternoon since rest of the shoot required only a few additional artists, the reports said.
The fire was brought under control by evening but the set is now in ruins. The filmmakers might have to recreate and rebuild Gulistan Fort within 10 days. It is also being said that the set will be rebuilt at Film City in Mumbai.
