Akshay Kumar’s ‘Laxmii’ Breaks Record Of Sushant Singh Rajput’s ‘Dil Bechara’

Mumbai: The most-awaited Akshay Kumar starrer ‘Laxmii’ has become the biggest movie opening on OTT platform Disney+ Hotstar.

According to a report in Pinkvilla, horror comedy ‘Laxmii’ has broken the viewership record of Sushant Singh Rajput’s ‘Dil Bechara’ within hours of its release on November 9.

Disney+ Hotstar confirmed the news on its official Instagram handle and thanked movie buffs for liking the film.

In view of the ongoing pandemic, the makers decided to release the film on digital platform instead of theatres.

Besides Akshay Kumar and Kiara Advani, the film stars Sharad Kelkar, Ayesha Raza Mishra, Ashwini Kalsekar and Rajesh Sharma in important roles.

‘Laxmii’ is a remake of Tamil film ‘Kanchana’ and has been helmed by Raghava Lawrence.
