Mumbai: The song ‘Fa9la’, featuring Akshaye Khanna’s electrifying entry in the Ranveer Singh-starrer spy-thriller ‘Dhurandhar’, has taken internet by storm.
As the song went viral, many drew comparisons with Bobby Deol’s hit track ‘Jamal Kundu’ from Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘Animal’.
One fan wrote, “Absolute banger. Amazingly choreographed and shot.”
Another commented, “He comes once or twice a year, but what an actor. Does not stay in the limelight. Very, very underrated.”
“Akshay Khanna’s Jamaal Kudu moment is here,” said one user.
Many users hailed the track, calling it “Crazy song, Awesome Akshay… and Banger…”
‘Fa9la’ is a Bahrani song, sung by rapper Flipperachi with Daffy and produced by DJ Outlaw.
‘Dhurandhar’ director Aditya Dhar revealed that Akshaye’s viral dance steps were spontaneous.
Actor Danish Pandor, who played Uzair Baloch in the movie, revealed that there was no choreography for the song and that Akshaye had improvised the dance for his entry scene.
“He did all of that on his own. Full choreography was happening and in the middle of that Akshaye sir asked Aditya, ‘can I dance?’ Aditya said, ‘whatever you feel like doing.’ So everyone is dancing and he looks at everyone and then he starts dancing on his own. And we were all awestruck,” Danish was quoted as saying by Filmygyan.
