Mumbai: ‘Jigra’ actress Alia Bhatt recently came out in support of her husband Ranbir Kapoor after a section of netizens labelled him a ‘womaniser’ and ‘unsupportive’ husband.
Alia took to social media to defend Ranbir.
“Funny how jealous people always call him red flag, womaniser, mumma’s boy etc. but Ranbir Kapoor literally included his wife and daughter’s initials in his brand’s name. If this is red flag then I guess it’s better than every so-called green flag on the internet,” the post read.
To show her support, Alia liked the post which was shared on Instagram.
A screenshot of the same is doing the rounds on Reddit, and social media users are lauding Alia for standing by her husband.
Earlier this month, Ranbir launched his lifestyle brand named ARKS, which incorporates the initials of his wife Alia and daughter Raha.
Well, this is not the first time that the actress has defended her husband. Earlier, a video showing Ranbir ignoring Alia at Raj Kapoor’s 100th birth anniversary celebration went viral and drew flake from netizens.
Following the online criticism, Alia defended Ranbir by liking a video which was titled, ‘The Ranbir Kapoor they don’t post about’, shared on a fan page.
In another incident, Ranbir was trolled after Alia spoke about how he asked her to wipe off her lipstick, with netizens calling him ‘toxic’ and ‘misogynistic.’
Reacting to the negative buzz, Ranbir’s sister Riddhima Kapoor Sahni told Zoom, “They adore each other. They’ve created the most beautiful ever child, Raha. She is so so adorable. They are amazing parents. So, I don’t think they really care about what people say”.
Ranbir and Alia got married in April 2022 and welcomed their first child Raha the same year, in November.
