Bhubaneswar: Extending the Unlock 6.0 to more services, the state government has decided to open all Aahaar Centres in the Capital City from Monday.
Of the total 12 Aahaar Centres in the city, which were closed due to COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent lockdown, five have reopened and are functioning. The rest seven centres will start operating from Monday, the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) informed.
The Aahar scheme was launched in the state on April 1, 2015 with an objective to provide cooked meals to the poor and needy people at an affordable cost of Rs 5 per person.
