Bhubaneswar: All schools under Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) limits will remain remain shut after 1 pm on. November 29, ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s three-day visit to Odisha for the DG-IG conference here.
The PM is scheduled arrive in the state capital at around 4.20 pm.
Union Home minister Amit Shah and national security advisor Ajit Doval and a host of top officials of security agencies will also attend the three-day conference, starting Friday, being organised for the first time in Odisha.
Meanwhile, Bhubaneswar has been placed under a thick blanket of security with Khalistani separatist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun threatening to disrupt the meet. More than 70 platoons of police force and anti-terror agencies have been deployed across city with around 300 officers monitoring the arrangements. Several areas in Bhubaneswar have also been declared no drone/no flying zones.
