Jharsuguda: Alliance Air, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the state-run Air India, will resume its flight operation from Jharsuguda to Raipur from June 20 after a gap of three months.
The airline had suspended its flight operations for about three months due to the nationwide lockdown by the Centre to contain the spread of the novel coronavirus.
Notably, the Alliance Air had resumed the Kolkata-Jharsuguda-Bhubaneswar flight on June 1 after the Centre allowed the resumption of domestic flights.
It had launched two direct flights from Veer Surendra Sai (VSS) Airport in Jharsuguda to Bhubaneswar and Raipur on June 6 last year.
The Airport Authority of India (AAI) has allotted Alliance Air the Jharsuguda-Bhubaneswar, Jharsuguda-Raipur and Jharsuguda-Kolkata routes to operate its flights under the Centre’s “Ude Desh Ka Aam Nagrik (UDAN)” scheme 3.0.
