Mumbai: ‘Pushpa’ Star Allu Arjun’s next film with director Atlee appears to be gaining traction! Reports already hinted at their collaboration.
As per media reports, Allu Arjun and Atlee had discussed some story ideas earlier, but nothing worked out. However, in the past few months, their project has been making progress.
Atlee is known for finishing films quickly, within a year, and Allu Arjun believes working with him would be a great follow-up after the success of Pushpa 2.
After the success of ‘Jawan’, which was directed by Atlee, there were rumours about Salman Khan, Rajinikanth, or Kamal Haasan joining the project. Now, Atlee is moving forward with the same story, with Allu Arjun in the lead. The second lead actor is yet to be finalised, as per reports.
Casting for three female leads is ongoing, and the movie will feature a blend of historical and modern events with a high-budget focus on visual effects.
While fans are excited, neither Atlee nor Allu Arjun has officially confirmed the collaboration. Reports also claim that Sun Pictures will produce the film, marking their entry into Telugu cinema.
Meanwhile, Trivikram Srinivas was set to direct Allu Arjun after Pushpa 2: The Rule. Producer Naga Vamsi confirmed the project is in pre-production, but filming may now start in 2026 instead of late 2025. This delay further fuels speculation that Allu Arjun and Atlee’s film will happen first. An official announcement is expected soon.
However, Atlee’s recent film Baby John, starring Varun Dhawan, did not perform well at the box office. Fans are hoping for a strong comeback from Atlee with his next movie.
