Mumbai: The Allu Arjun-starrer ‘Pushpa 2’ broke all box-office records and received rave reviews for the distinctive character portrayed by the actor.
While ‘Pushpa’ might have been a commercial success, it impacted students adversely.
A government school teacher from Hyderabad’s Yusufguda called out the makers for presenting a film that has influenced students negatively.
The teacher stated that when she sees school students behaving in an unruly manner, she feels she has ‘failed as an administrator.’
“They sport unbearable hairstyles and talk vulgarly. We focus only on education and ignore this. This is the situation not only in government schools but in private schools, too. As an administrator, I feel like I’m failing,” the teacher is heard sharing with the Education Commission in a video posted by V6 News.
Sharing that she doesn’t feel like punishing the students, the teacher stated that mass media is responsible for their behaviour.
“They don’t seem to care even when we call parents to discuss these issues. You can’t even punish them because it might drive them to suicide. I have to blame the mass media for all this. Half the students in my school have become worse due to Pushpa. The film was certified with no concern for this,” she added.
