Bhubaneswar: The alumni association of BJB Autonomous College – BJB Friends – has decided to hold elections to various posts on January 11. This decision was taken at a meeting of the steering committee members and office bearers in charge of elections held in Bhubaneswar on Friday.
The issue of long-pending elections was earlier discussed during an emergency meeting in October. A steering committee of three members was constituted for taking necessary steps to conduct the elections.
The steering committee and office bearers in charge of elections gave the proposal to hold elections for important posts of the association on January 11, 2026, which was unanimously passed. Members with lifetime membership will be eligible to vote in the elections.
Nominations can be filed by aspirants from January 2-4 and voting held on January 11. Results will be declared on the same day as voting according to a press release issued by the association.
