Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday sanctioned Rs 23.30 crore for 97 panchayats in four blocks of four districts under Ama Gaon Ama Bikash Yojana at the block level.
The chief minister sanctioned the amount for 1002 projects after interacting with the block representatives through video conferencing at the State Secretariat here.
Of the sanctioned amount, Rs 5.50 crore has been earmarked for 142 projects in 22 panchayats of Kukudakhandi block in Ganjam district, Rs 5.50 crore for 233 projects in 22 panchayats of Saintala block in Bolangir district, Rs 9.36 crore for 446 projects in 37 panchayats of the Khaira block in Balasore district and Rs 2.94 crore for 181 projects in 16 panchayats of the Dasamantpur block in Koraput district.
The chief minister advised the people and the block representatives to ensure quality work and timely completion of the projects.
This is for the sixth time that the state government has sanctioned the projects under the scheme at the block level which had begun on May 23.
Among others, chief secretary, development commissioner, principal secretary, Panchayati Raj and Drinking Water and senior officials of the concerned departments were present.
