Bhubaneswar: Competition in the smart TV market in India just got even more fierce, with AmazonBasics launched two ultra-HD models on new year’s day.
The TVs are priced as follows:
50 inch — Rs 29,999
55 inch — Rs 34,999
Both TVs run Fire TV OS and have 4K HDR LED display panels, Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos formats for HDR and audio support.
Being Fire TV Edition TVs, they have Alexa built-in as well as other OTT apps like Netflix, Disney+ Hotstar and YouTube.
Amazon will be introducing 32, 40 and 43-inch TVs soon.
The TV market is currently dominated by Xiaomi, Vu, etc. But this move by Amazon will surely put the heat on those companies.
