Bhubaneswar: Ahead of Donald Trump’s swearing-in ceremony, business tycoon Mukesh Ambani and his wife Nita to attend an intimate ‘candlelit dinner’ for a select 100 hosted by the President-elect last evening.
A video from the private event showed Trump addressing the guests, the Ambanis among them.
The Ambanis reached Washington on January 18 and were photographed at the gathering alongside other Indian entrepreneurs, including Pankaj Bansal, Managing Director of M3M Developers, and Kalpesh Mehta, Founder of Tribeca Developers, showcasing the growing influence of Indian business leaders on the international front.

Mukesh and Nita Ambani, according to ANI, expressed their optimism for strengthened India-US relations during a meeting with Trump while emphasizing the potential for collaboration between the two nations during his presidency.
Vice President-elect JD Vance and wife Usha also met them.
The Reliance Industries chairman and Nita, who is the chairperson of Reliance Foundation, are also expected to be present at the swearing-in ceremony on January 20 as the personal invitee of the Trump family and have a prominent seat alongside other distinguished guests, including members of his Cabinet and elected officials, reports indicate.
Notably, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar will represent India at Trump’s swearing-in event. He will also meet representatives of the new US administration, according to an official statement.
