Mumbai: ‘Loveyapa Ho Gaya’, the title track of Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor’s upcoming film ‘Loveyapa’ was roundly criticised after its release on Friday.
“What is this cringe?” reacted one user.
Another disappointed netizen posted, “First of all, eww. Second of all, ewwww.”
“Second-hand embarrassment,” wrote another.
“So embarrassing… no wonder Bollywood’s failing,” commented one person.
However, Bollywood superstars Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan came out in support of Junaid and Khushi, and hailed their song.
Shah Rukh took to his X handle and wrote, “So sweet this song is. Gentle like Junaid. All the best Khushi. My big love to the #Loveyapa couple and team.”
Sending his best wishes to Junaid and Khushi, Salman wrote on his Instagram handle, “Best of luck Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor.”
The song ‘Loveyapa Ho Gaya’, which highlights the minor details of modern love, has been sung by Nakash Aziz and Madhubanti Bagchi.
Junaid and Khushi-starrer ‘Loveyapa’ is a rom-com, which is apparently a remake of the 2022 Tamil hit film ‘Love Today.’
According to the makers, it is a “heartwarming tale enriched with unforgettable performances, lively music, and breathtaking visuals.”
