Amit Shah Assures All Central Help To Odisha After Cyclone Arnab; CM Majhi Briefs On Impact

Bhubaneswar: In the wake of Cyclone Arnab, Union Home Minister Amit Shah held detailed telephonic discussions with Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi to assess the situation in the state.

The Home Minister assured the state leadership of every possible assistance from the Central government to mitigate the hardship faced by the people.

Apart from Odisha, Amit Shah reached out to the Chief Ministers of Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and the Union Territory of Puducherry to review the overall impact of the cyclonic storm across the affected territories.

To evaluate the extent of structural, agricultural, and infrastructural destruction, Inter-Ministerial Central Teams (IMCTs) will soon visit Odisha and other affected regions. In the meantime, disaster response units—including the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and State Disaster Response Force (SDRF)—are actively engaged in ground operations, carrying out rescue and relief measures on a war footing.

Expressing heartfelt gratitude for the timely reassurance, CM Majhi highlighted the crucial role of central-state coordination.

With response teams fully deployed and emergency shelters operating, both the Union and State governments remain steadfast in ensuring swift relief and recovery for affected families.
