Bhubaneswar: Union Home Minister Amit Shah is set to embark on a three-day visit to Odisha from March 21, during which he is slated to launch a number of projects.
Ahead of his visit, an important meeting of Bharatiya Janata Parry (BJP) was held at Burla in Sambalpur district on Sunday to review party arrangements for Shah’s tour.
BJP sources said Shah is scheduled to arrive at Jharsuguda in the evening on March 21 and stay at the MCL Guest House in Burla. On March 22, the Home Minister is slated to visit Maa Samaleswari Temple in Sambalpur and then address a public meeting at the PHD Ground in Jharsuguda.
Details of Shah’s tour programme were shared by BJP’s state unit president Manmohan Samal after the party’s preparatory meeting held in Burla. Besides Samal, Health Minister Mukesh Mahaling, Sambalpur MLA Jayanarayan Mishra, and several MLAs and senior leaders from Western Odisha districts attended the meeting.
Apart from addressing the public meeting, the Union Minister is slated to lay the foundation stone for some important projects in Jharsuguda. Shah will have launch at around 2 pm at MCL Guest House and then proceed to Puri via Bhubaneswar. He will stay at night in Puri town.
In the morning on March 23, the Home Minister will have darshan at Shree Jagannath Temple in the pilgrim town. He is then scheduled to lay the foundation stone for proposed forensic university in Jatni, Samal said.
“He will lay the foundation stones and also inaugurate some key projects. In the afternoon of March 23, he will return to Delhi,” the state BJP chief added.
