Bhubaneswar: BJP national president Amit Shah will embark on a visit to Odisha in April this year, state party president Basant Panda informed on Sunday.
Though the date of Shah’s visit is yet to be announced, he is likely to arrive during the first or second week of April, Panda said.
During the visit, the saffron party chief is scheduled to attend public meetings and youth conferences in western districts like Sambalpur, Kalahandi, Sundargarh, Balangir and Sonepur.
Besides, Shah is also expected to interact with the party leaders and prepare strategies to make the party’s base stronger ahead of 2019 assembly polls.
In September last year, Shah had arrived on a three-day visit to the state.
During the visit, he held separate meetings with the legislators, MPs and other office bearers, besides reviewing ‘Mo Booth Sabuthu Majboot’ programme and various public welfare programmes launched by the party.
