Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has appointed Amulya Kumar Pradhan as the new Vice President of the Board of Secondary Education (BSE).
The Odisha Education Service (OES) officer is currently serving as the Regional Director of Education, Sambalpur.
The appointment followed the arrest of Nihar Ranjan Mohanty, who earlier served in the post, in the Special OTET question paper leak.
The notification issued by the School and Mass Education Department further stated that OES officer Chakradhar Behera has been posted as Deputy Controller, BSE, Odisha, and will also hold additional charge as Controller, BSE, until further orders. Behera is currently serving as Additional District Education Officer, Nabarangpur.
He will succeed OES officer Amrita Pritinanda, who had been transferred and posted as Joint Director, SILTT, Bhubaneswar.
The additional charge of Govinda Chandra Hembram, Headmaster of the Govt High School, Chandrasekharpur, Phase-I, Bhubnaeswar as Assistant Director SILTT, Bhubaneswar has been cancelled, it added.
