Angul: Residents of Anandpur in Angul district on Sunday staged demonstration on NH-53, protesting against a liquor shop that has come up in their locality.
Raising slogans against opening of the liquor shop, one of the agitators alleged that the shop would not only attract anti-socials to the locality and ruin its peaceful environment.
Owing to the blockade, vehicular movement on the highway was disrupted
for about an hour. The protestors relented after police assured them that they would look into their demand.
