Mumbai: Rashtriya Kamdhenu Aayog (RKA) Chairman Vallabhbhai Kathiria recently unveiled a chip made of ‘cow dung’ during the launch of the nationwide campaign ‘Kamdhenu Deepawali Abhiyan’.
At the campaign, which is aimed at promoting cow dung products, Kathiria claimed that the ‘cow dung chip’ will reduce radiation from mobile handsets and will prevent diseases.
“Cow dung will protect everyone, it is anti-radiation… It is scientifically proven…This is a radiation chip that can be used in mobile phones to reduce radiation. It will be safeguarded against diseases,” Kathiria was quoted as saying by ANI.
Named ‘Gausatva Kavach’, the cow dung chip is manufactured by Rajkot-based Shrijee Gaushala.
During the campaign, Kathiria also urged people not to use China-made diyas (earthen lamps) this Diwali.
The RKA that was set up in 2019 aims at conservation, protection and development of cows and their progeny.
