New Delhi: Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) leader and Khalistani terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun on Tuesday allegedly threatened to kill Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and DGP Gaurav Yadav. Pannun asked gangsters to come together to attack Mann on Republic Day, January 26.
Notably, the Punjab Police adopted a zero-tolerance policy against gangsters.
Earlier in the week, Pannun had threatened the Indian government on the consecration ceremony of Ayodhya Ram Temple on January 22. He even urged the Muslim community to oppose the ceremony, which, according to his claims, is built on Babri Masjid.
Intelligence sources told News18 that Pannun has called Prime Minister Narendra Modi a “global enemy of Muslims”. He claimed that the temple is built on the bodies of thousands of Muslims, who were forced into conversion.
Indian intelligence sources suggested that Pannun is seeking mileage out of the current situation as his attempt to start a referendum for a separate Khalistan has failed, and he is in “panic mode,” News18 reported.
On January 1, Pannun made provocative calls for India’s “economic destruction” by targeting the Bombay Stock Exchange from March 12, 2024, the 31st anniversary of the Mumbai serial blasts in which the BSE building was one of the targets.
