Did you know that Android phones are unable to record videos over 4GB in size, no matter the length or resolution?
In newer phones, a separate file is created once 4GB is reached while recording. In older phones, recording used to stop. However, Android 11 could completely remove this restriction.

The limitation, which was introduced in 2014, was to prevent overloading of the slow hardware used and the phone getting hanged. A minute of 4K video shot at 60fps is around 400Mb today.
This limitation will reportedly be removed from the next release of the operating system. The new OS may also get support for 8K videos, which isn’t supported currently.
