According to sources, Khurania assessed the readiness of police and security personnel stationed at the temple to prevent potential threats and ensure safety of the pilgrims. He also reviewed the deployment of modern security infrastructure, crowd control measures, CCTV monitoring, rapid response units, and coordination with local authorities as the pilgrim town would witness huge influx of devotees during Rath Yatra.

The 12th-century shrine saw heavy deployment of security personnel as tensions escalated between India and Pakistan in the aftermath of Operation Sindoor. At least 240 police personnel were deployed in and around the temple. This followed a visit by a four-member team of National Security Guard (NSG) commandos to carry out a routine security review as part of their annual calendar, focussing particularly on anti-terror measures and crowd management during major festivals, including Rath Yatra.
