Annual Flower Show 2025 Opens To Public In Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: The Annual Flower Show 2025 was opened at the Regional Plant Resource Centre (RPRC), Ekamra Kanan in Bhubaneswar on Tuesday.

Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Chaan Majhi inaugurated the flower show which has been organised in collaboration with the Plant Lovers Association. The show, which will continue for five days till January 11, features display by over 70 institutions from across the state.

Speaking on the occasion, the chief minister said the flowers, which symbolise love, peace and faith, play a significant role in the state’s social, cultural, and spiritual life.

Stating that international delegates coming to the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas in the city would visit the flower exhibition and expressed confidence that they would be charmed by colourful flowers.

The exhibition showcases several varieties of cut flowers, bonsai, orchids and themed gardens. Cultural performances including Odissi, Chhau, Sambalpuri, and Paika dances will be presented during the five days. A new gate complex, a multi-colored garden, and a cactus house were also inaugurated on the occasion.

The Chief Minister also released the Annual Research Report of the RPRC for 2024-25 and the latest edition of the magazine Sabujima, published by the Plant Lovers Association.

Ganesh Ram Singkhuntia, Minister of Forests, Environment, and Climate Change, Satyabrat Sahu, Additional Chief Secretary of the department, and Suresh Kumar Pant, Chief Executive Officer of the RPRC were also present.
