Balangir: The Hindi question paper of the ongoing annual High School Certificate (HSC) examinations, which went viral in Balangir district on Wednesday, was found to be fake.
Sources said that the Hindi question paper made its way to social media at Saintala, 15 minutes into the examination.
Soon after the incident, the district education officer (DEO) confirmed that the question paper uploaded on social media was that of the previous year. “It is the handiwork of some mischief mongers to defame Balangir district,” he pointed out.
The DEO also said that he had requested the police to probe into the incident and nab those involved in the mischief.
This was for the third time that question paper of the annual matric exam of the state board was circulated on social media soon after the exams began. While the MIL Odia question paper went viral on the first day of the examination on February 22 and some questions were found similar to the original one, the English question paper circulated on February 25, was found to be fake.
