Nuapada: The Judicial Magistrate of First Class (JMFC) court on Thursday rejected the bail plea of seven examination centre staff members in Khadiala for their alleged involvement in the Matric Odia question paper leak on the first day of the examination.
After the Odia question paper went viral on February 22, the BSE had suspended 11 teachers and the respective in-charge of the centres and lodged FIRs against nine of them. Seven teachers were also arrested for allegedly circulating the question papers on social media.
After investigation, Boden police arrested the accused.
Police first arrested the five teachers, Prasanna Kumar Pati, invigilators Bighnaraj Supakar and Mukund Sabara of Karangmal High School, centre superintendent Sushil Kumar Joshi and invigilator Arjunajaya Panda of Gopinath High School at Litisargi.
