Berhampur: Another accused in in the high-profile Pitabas Panda murder case, Malay Bishoyi was admitted to MKCG Medical College and Hospital at Berhampur on Thursday after reportedly falling ill while lodged in jail.
According to sources, Bishoyi’s health deteriorated inside the prison, prompting authorities to shift him to MKCG for urgent medical care.
The Pitabas Panda murder case has already gripped public attention due to its gravity and the involvement of multiple accused.
Police and prison officials said Bishoyi is under medical supervision due to high diabetes and chest pain in the Medicine ward.
Earlier, prime accused and former MLA Bikram Panda was admitted to the hospital following illness.
