Another Award For Odia Film ‘Adieu GODARD’

Bhubaneswar: Odia feature film ‘Adieu GODARD’ has won “Dare to Dream” award at the 24th UK Asian Film Festival (UKAFF). The film had three screenings at the festival including the BFI Southbank theatre in London.

Shot exquisitely in Odisha, the film is a socio-cultural comic tribute to the legendary French filmmaker Jean-Luc Godard. Choudhury Bikash Das plays the central character around whom the film revolves. It has been written and directed by National Award winner Amartya Bhattacharyya and produced by Swastik Arthouse in collaboration with FilmStop Entertainment and Les Films de la Haute-Vallée.

And winning this award is such a specimen of this.”

Actor Choudhury Bikash Das, who plays the lead protagonist Ananda, said, “This is the sixth award for the film at an international film festival and it shows how well this film connected with the global audience. As Ananda, I have received so much love and I am really happy to be a part of this film. This film thoroughly engages with the audience and they have enjoyed it a lot. I hope the film reaches the people of Odisha soon.”
