Another Bear Attack Leaves 5 Injured In Odisha’s Balasore

Balasore: In another attack by wild bear in the last two weeks, five persons including a minor girl were injured in the district on Tuesday.

According to sources, the bear strayed into Mitrapur village under Nilagiri block and attacked the villagers. Five of them were injured while others escaped.

The villagers rushed the injured to Nilagiri hospital. Later, one critically injured person was shifted to Balasore District Headquarter Hospital (DHH).

On being informed, the Forest officials from Nilagiri have rushed to the village to take control of the situation, the sources added.

It may be noted that a wild bear had entered a school premises in Keonjhar district and attacked three persons on January 10.
