Sundargarh: After Balangir and Balasore, another fake job racket has surfaced in Odisha’s Sundargarh district.
As per reports, one Jayant Chand has filed a complaint at Sundargrah Town police station alleging that three persons had duped him of more than Rs 1 lakh promising to give him a job in Sundargarh Medical College and Hospital.
The three persons had introduced themselves as employees of the medical college. One of them has introduced himself as Sushant Majhi, an employee of NTPC, Jayant stated in the FIR.
Jayant has also mentioned the names of some other youths who have been duped of lakhs of rupees in the fake job racket. He said the three persons had taken money from him after showing him some official documents. Later, he came to know that those documents of the medical college with signature of its officials including the Dean and state government logo were fake.
Sushant Parida, the IIC of the Town police station, said they had registered a case on the basis of the complaint filed by Jayant. The police were investigating to ascertain the involvement of other people in the racket but nobody has been arrested, he added.
It may be noted police had busted a Rs 1-crore fake job jacket and arrested five persons, including two women, in Balasore district. They had allegedly duped over 150 youths with the promise of jobs in government and private sectors.
Similarly, the Crime Branch has been investigating the massive fake certificate racket run by two persons with the allurement of providing jobs in Balangir.
