Another Gold For India In Shooting At Asian Games, Roshibina Devi Bags Wushu Silver
New Delhi: After Naorem Roshibina Devi bagged Wushu silver in women‘s 60kg category, shooting team of Sarabjot Singh, Arjun Singh Cheema, Shiva Narwal staged an incredible comeback to bag the top spot and another gold for India in the men’s 10m air pistol team event on Day 5 of the ongoing Asian Games 2023, in Hangzhou, on Thursday.
Two of the marksmen also made it to the individual finals.
This came a day after Indian shooters won 7 medals, including two gold. Anant Jeet Singh Naruka bagged a historic silver medal in the Skeet Men’s Shooting event, the first ever by an Indian in this event in any Asian Games.
These wins have taken India’s medal tally to 24 at the Asian Games 2023. The Indian contingent has bagged six gold, eight silver and 10 bronze medals, so far, at Hangzhou.
The Indian contingent has more than 650 athletes participating in the Games this year. At the last edition of the Asian Games in Jakarta in 2018, India finished with a record medal haul of 70 medals, which included 16 gold.
