New Delhi: Elon Musk-owned social media platform X is currently down.
A massive outage, from around 6 pm on Saturday, meant that the microblogging site could not be accessed by thousands of users.
DownDetector, the tracking service, recorded over 2,500 reports of issues amid the outage.
Netizens faced multiple problems, including difficulty signing in and not receiving direct messages. Users encountered issues on both desktop, laptop and mobile devices.
The popular social media platform had been inaccessible for many in different parts of the world from Friday.
The outage was confirmed by X’s engineering team through a post which read: “X is aware some of our users are experiencing performance issues on the platform today. We are experiencing a data center outage and the team is actively working to remediate the issue.”
The confirmation came around eight hours after users first began reporting issues.
Though the problem was mostly resolved, it has resurfaced.
No further update has been shared by the company.
