Another Odisha District On COVID-19 Death Map; Toll Rises To 235
Bhubaneswar: The COVID-19 death toll in Odisha rose to 235 on Thursday with 10 more patients succumbing to the disease in the last 24 hours.
Nabarangpur district reported its first COVID-19 death and Keonjhar reported its second death.
The Health Department identified the deceased as:
- A 52-year-old Male of Ganjam district who was also suffering from diabetes and hypertension.
- A 40-year-old male of Nabarangpur district who was also suffering from pulmonary tuberculosis.
- A 28-year-old female of Sundergarh district.
- A 40-year-old male of Ganjam district.
- A 39-year-old male of Nayagarh district.
- A 54-year-old male of Sundergarh district who was also suffering from uncontrolled diabetes.
- A 55-year-old male of Ganjam district who was also suffering from relapsed tuberculosis.
- A 53-year-old female of Bhadrak district who was also suffering from diabetes and hypertension.
- A 61-year-old male of Kandhamal district who was also suffering from diabetes and hypertension.
- A 52-year-old male of Keonjhar district who was also suffering from diabetes, hypertension and chronic kidney disease.
With these 10 deaths, the virus has so far claimed 120 lives in Ganjam district, 31 in Khurda, 14 in Gajapati, 13 in Sundargarh, 11 in Cuttack, 10 in Rayagada, four each in Nayagarh and Puri, three each in Balasore and Bhadrak, two each in Kandhamal, Keonjhar, Kendrapada, Malkangiri, Jajpur, Jagatsinghpur, Kalahandi and Angul and one each in Bargarh, Jhasuguda, Nabarangpur and Sambalpur.
