Another Odisha District On COVID-19 Death Map, Toll Rises To 91

Bhubaneswar: Coronavirus has claimed five more lives in Odisha in the last 24 hours, taking the toll to 91 on Sunday.

Three of the victims are from Ganjam district and one each from Sundargarh and Jagatsinghpur. It is the first COVID-19 death for Jagatsinghpur and the second for Sundargarh district.

Details of the deceased:

  1. A 70-year old female of Ganjam district.
  2. A 67-year old Male of Jagatsinghpur district who was also suffering from diabetes.
  3. A 44-year old Male of Ganjam district.
  4. A 65-year old female of Sundargarh district who was also suffering from diabetes and Bronchitis.
  5. A 39-year old Male of Ganjam district who was also suffering from diabetes.

They succumbed while undergoing treatment, the Health Department sources said.

With this, the virus had claimed 54 lives in Ganjam, 13 in Khurda, eight in Cuttack, two each in Angul and Sundargarh, three in Gajapati and Puri and one each in Jagatsinghpur, Bargarh, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada and Rayagada.
