Bhubaneswar: Another nine COVID-19 patients succumbed to the infection in Odisha, taking the toll to 225 on Wednesday.
Among them, five are from Ganjam district and one each from Gajapati, Keonjhar, Khurda and Sundargarh. This is the first COVID-19 death in Keonjhar.
The Health Department has identified them as:
With these nine deaths, the virus has so far claimed 117 lives in Ganjam district, 31 in Khurda, 11 in Cuttack, 14 in Gajapati, 11 in Sundargarh, 10 in Rayagada, four in Puri, three each in Nayagarh and Balasore, two each in Kandhamal, Kendrapada, Malkangiri, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Jagatsinghpur, Kalahandi and Angul and one each in Bargarh, Jhasuguda, Keonjhar and Sambalpur.
