Cuttack: Creating a new state record, Anshika Routray secured the first position in the 66th State Athletic Meet in Under-16 girls Shot Put on Friday.
She created a record with a throw of 11.82 m, breaking the previous record 10.86 m. Netramani secured the second position with a throw of 10.63 m and P. Archana stood in the third position with a distance 10.46 m.

The match was held at Barabati Stadium here. The three-day match will conclude on December 30. Anshika is the daughter of Olympian Anuradha Biswal.
