Rayagada: Anti-Maoist posters surfaced in various parts of Kalyansinghpur in Rayagada district on Sunday.

The posters, issued by Adivasi Ekta Samiti, were found pasted at the walls of Kalyansinghpur high school and Jagannath temple.

Through posters, the organisation has condemned the violent activities of Maoists and urged them to stop terrorising people by unleashing violence and killing dalits, women and youths in the tribal-dominated areas including Niyamgiri.

Meanwhile, residents of the area have welcomed the move against ultras.

On the other hand, Maoist posters were found at Paplur area under Chitrakonda block of Malkangiri district opposing construction of a road between Kalimela and Karubagaon.

The posters bearing the name of CPI (Maoists) stated that developments of the new road can no way usher in development of tribals.

“Maoists have been trying to create panic among people and opposing developmental works in the area. However, the posters have been seized and security intensified”, a police officer informed.
