New Delhi/ Bhubaneswar: Actor-turned-politician Anubhav Mohanty is set to tie the nuptial knot with journalist-author Jagrati Shukla at an undisclosed location in New Delhi on Tuesday (March 11) evening.
According to sources, the wedding will take place at a temple in the national capital. Two Union Ministers Dharmendra Pradhan and Giriraj Singh along with other distinguished guests are likely to attend.
Odisha Bytes is sharing the first exclusive visual from the wedding, in which the groom Anubhav can be seen riding a horse cart, with its readers. He looks dapper in a self-embroidered ivory sherwani and an orange pagdi.
Anubhav and Jagrati finally made their relationship public as they got engaged on March 7. The private engagement ceremony, which was also held outside Odisha to maintain privacy, was attended by family members and close people.
A day later, Jagrati took to her social media handles and dropped photos from the intimate engagement ceremony. Addressing Anubhav as ‘best friend’, she wrote, “I said yes to my best friend @anubhavmohantyofficial. My heart is overflowing with gratitude for the blessings from our families and the constant support of our friends. This bond of friendship has blossomed into something beautiful, and I can’t wait to write our love story together.”
Jagrati had recently revealed about their wedding plan in a podcast after the launch of her book ‘Blockbusters to Ballot Box’, a biography tracing the journey for her now fiancé Anubhav. The former Kendrapada MP had also advised his ex-wife Varsha Priyadarshini, without naming her, to move on in life and get married again during the book release event last month.
Anubhav and Jagrati have been in news since the former moved court for divorce from Varsha, also an actor. He often shared posts in admiration for her. Jagrati also found herself in the midst of the messy legal battle after being trolled by fans for allegedly being the third wheel in the erstwhile Ollywood’s power couple’s life.
The Orissa High Court granted divorce to the celebrity couple on December 21, 2023.
