New Delhi: With a score of 95.2 percent, Anuskha Panda, a student based in Gurugram, has topped the differently-abled category of CBSE Class XII exams. She has scored 99 percent in Physics alone.
Anuskha had grabbed headlines when she scored 489 marks out of 500 in her Class X exams. She wishes to become a software engineer and work with Google, according to a report published in the NDTV.
She plays chess, loves to read books and paint, and has been learning classical music for the last 10 years.
Panda suffers from Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA), a genetic condition that has made her wheelchair-bound.
Her condition forces her to lie down after an hour of studying but she remained determined, her father Anup Panda had told Hindustan Times. She wears a spinal brace.
Her father works with an MNC in Bhiwadi and her mother works with another MNC in Gurugram.
For the exam, she used to study for two hours every day.
