Bhubaneswar: A day after terrorists gunned down at least 26 people at Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam, Bhubaneswar MP Aparajita Sarangi on Wednesday met the family of a tourist from Odisha who was among those killed in the attack.
The BJP MP met the family of deceased Odia tourist Prasant Satpathy at Srinagar after the bodies of the victims of the terror attack were brought there from Pahalgam.
Aparajita, who posted a video on social media, was seen consoling the wife and son of Prasant. She offered condolences to Prasant’s wife Priyadarshini.
The lawmaker also paid floral tributes to those killed in the terror attack near their remains.
Notably, Aparajita was in Jammu and Kashmir for a PAC meeting.
It may be noted that Prasant (41), a native of Ishani village under Remuna block in Balasore district, had travelled to Jammu and Kashmir with his wife, Priyadarshini, and nine-year-old son on April 19 for a vacation. He was an accountant with CIPET.
