Mumbai: Weeks after the India’s Got Latent row, social media influencer Apoorva Mukhija is back on Instagram with a powerful statement.
The Rebel Kid took to her Instagram handle on Tuesday and shared screenshots of the threats she received over the last few weeks.
“Trigger warning: This post contains mentions of acid attacks, rape threats and death threats,” read the post.
She captioned the post as, “And that’s not even 1%.”

In another post, she shared a powerful statement which drew encouraging comments from the netizens.
“Don’t take away the story from the storyteller,” she wrote.

Reacting to the posts, a fan remarked, “COME BACK. We don’t deserve the story, but you deserve the love.”

After facing backlash for an episode on Samay Raina’s roast show ‘India’s Got Latent’, Apoorva, who has three million followers on Instagram, deleted all her posts and unfollowed everyone.
The show sparked widespread outrage after Ranveer Allahbadia’s crass sex joke on parents.
Apoorva, who was one of the guests on the show, was accused of making an objectionable comment during the episode.
Multiple complaints were filed in Mumbai seeking action against Ranveer, Apoorva and Samay.
She was summoned by the Mumbai police and the National Commission for Women in connection with the case.
