Mumbai: After making impressive comebacks on the big screen, actors Akshaye Khanna and Bobby Deol seem to be in demand with filmmakers.
Even with less screentime and zero dialogues, Bobby left critics and movie buffs in awe with his powerful presence in the Ranbir Kapoor starrer ‘Animal’.
Akshaye, on the other hand, impressed fans with his remarkable performance as Aurangzeb in Vicky Kaushal’s ‘Chhaava’ and Rehman Dakait in Ranveer Singh’s ‘Dhurandhar’.
Amid these astounding comebacks of the talented actors, filmmaker Ratan Jain, producer of the Akshaye, Bobby and Ameesha Patel-starrer ‘Humraaz’, suggested the possibility of a sequel to the film and hinted at bringing the actors together.
“I can make Humraaz 2 if I get the right script for these two actors. We need to have scripts where they fit the part and have age-appropriate roles,” the filmmaker shared in an interview with Bollywood Humgama.
Talking about Bobby and Akshaye’s collaboration, Ratan said, “Bobby is a pleasure to work with and so is Akshaye. As for Akshaye, let him get settled for some time after this humongous success that he has seen. I’ll try to meet him. We are very good friends. He deserves better films.”
The filmmaker added, “Akshaye has always been like this – very selective in his films. Money is secondary to him. If he’s not happy with the script, he’ll reject the film.”
On the work front, Akshaye is currently busy preparing for his Telugu debut ‘Mahakali’, while fans are eagerly waiting to see him again in ‘Dhurandhar 2’, slated to be released on March 19.
Bobby, on the other hand, will be seen in Alia Bhatt and Sharvari’s female-driven spy thriller ‘Alpha’.
