Bhubaneswar: The West Bengal government has imposed a rule that passengers should have RTPCR negative report while travelling to the state.
The West Bengal government has made the RTPCR negative report mandatory for travellers from other states to check the increasing rate of COVID-19 cases in the state.
The test should have been conducted within 72 hours of departure by train or plane from the originating state.
Passengers from East Coast Railway (ECoR) jurisdiction going to any place of West Bengal are requested to take RTPCR negative report within 72 hours of boarding the train.
Passengers of trains originating from Puri, Bhubaneswar and Sambalpur, i.e., Puri-Howrah Special (02088), Puri-Howrah Duronto Special (02202), Puri-Howrah Special (02838), Bhubaneswar-Howrah Special (02074), Sambalpur-Howrah Special (08306) should have to bring RTPCR negative report with them for hassle free journey in pandemic situation.
Besides, passengers on trains passing through ECoR jurisdiction and providing stoppages in West Bengal area should have also to possess RTPCR negative report both while boarding the trains and after getting down at their destinations, said ECoR sources.
