Argument Between Two Youths Triggers Communal Tension In Cuttack, Two Hurt

Cuttack: Tension prevailed at Narendrapur area under Nemala police limits in Cuttack district on Monday after communal violence broke out in the locality.

According to available information, two youths got into a heated argument on the issue of overtaking on the road. One of them called some of his associates from Kakudiapada village. Later, they barged into the other youth’s house and attacked him. A woman and a minor boy were also injured in the attack.

Moments later, the locals accompanied by a few members of Bajrang Dal staged a road blockade near the minority community slum Kakudiapada village by burnt tyres.

On receiving the information, a police team led by DSP Alok Ranjan Ray rushed to the spot and pacified the agitators.

Police has been deployed at the spot to prevent any untoward incident.
