Mumbai: Singer Neha Kakkar’s brother Tony Kakkar took to his social media handle on Tuesday to throw shade on the audience, who booed his sister for arriving late for the Melbourne concert.
Posing a ‘hypothetical’ question asking who is to blame, Tony wrote, “Suppose I invite you to my city for an event and take full responsibility for all arrangements— booking your hotel, car, airport pickup, and tickets. Now, imagine you arrive only to find that nothing has been booked. No car at the airport, no hotel reservation, and no tickets. In that situation, who is to blame?” While he didn’t mention what he was exactly talking about, he added in the caption, “Ek Sawaal Hai.. Kisi ke liye nahi hai.. Bas sawaal hai.. Hypothetically.”

In another post, he added, “Artist maryada mein rahe, aur janta? (An artist should remain within their limits, but what about the public?).”

Reacting to Tony’s cryptic posts, a user wrote, “The truth is out! It was the promoter’s fault—no proper arrangements, no backstage setup, and they didn’t even show up! Neha Kakkar still went on stage for her fans. RESPECT HER!”
Another commented, “Thank god you spoke up !!!!! It is clearly the fault of the one who had to arrange everything , it’s so heartbreaking to know that she went through such disrespect , she’s the renowned artist of india !”
Singer Neha Kakkar became the talk of the town recently after a video of her breaking down into tears during her Melbourne concert went viral on Reddit.
While apologising to the crowd for arriving late, Neha said, “Guys, you are really sweet! You have been patient. Itni der se aap log wait kar rahe ho. I hate it, maine life mein kabhi kisi ko wait nahi karwaya hai. Aap itni der se wait kar rahe ho, I’m so sorry! It means a lot to me. I will remember this evening forever. Aaj aap log mere liye itna kimti time nikaal kar aaye ho. I will make sure that I will make you all dance. (Guys, you are really sweet! You have been patient. You’ve been waiting for me for long. I hate it, I have never made anyone wait for so long. I’m so sorry! It means a lot to me. I will remember this evening forever. You’ve taken out time for my concert. I will make sure that I will make you all dance.”
However, a section of the audience booed her and asked her to return to her hotel room and take rest.
Some shouted, “Go back! Rest in your hotel.”
One man said, “This is not India, you’re in Australia.”
Another added, “We have been waiting for three hours.”
A third voice mocked, “Very good acting! This is not Indian Idol. You’re not performing with kids.”
