Arvind Kejriwal Will Reveal Where Money Went In ‘Liquor Scam’, Says Wife Sunita
New Delhi: Arvind Kejriwal will expose the truth in the “so-called liquor scam” when he appears in front of Delhi High Court on Thursday, his wife Sunita said on Wednesday.
The Delhi CM’s wife said Kejriwal will “reveal where the money” of the scam and also provide evidence.
Sunita addressed a press conference on Wednesday after meeting her husband, who is in the custody of Enforcement Directorate (ED) following his arrest on March 21 in a money-laundering case linked to the now-scrapped Delhi excise policy and was denied interim relief by Delhi High Court.
Sunita claimed that the ED found Rs 73,000 worth of cash when its officials searched the CM’s residence in Delhi’s Civil Lines area last week.
“In the so-called liquor scam, the ED has conducted more than 250 raids. They are searching for money from this so-called scam. They have found nothing yet,” the CM’s wife stated.
“Arvind Kejriwal will reveal everything in court on March 28. He will tell the truth to the nation where the money from the liquor scam is. He will also provide proof.”
Calling her husband a “true patriot, fearless and courageous person,” Sunita said: “The Central government filed a case against him. Do they want to destroy Delhi? Do they want the people to keep suffering? Arvind Kejriwal is very pained by this.”
