Bhubaneswar: The first batch of JEE and NEET aspirants and their guardians boarded OSRTC buses in Keonjhar and Nabaranpur districts on Sunday.
The Ganjam administration has also arranged a bus from ITI Berhampur to Bhubaneswar. It will leave at 12.30 pm on Monday, the administration tweeted.
To avail the benefit, candidates have been asked to contact Nodal officer on 094382 93909 till 8 pm on Sunday.
The administration has also tweeted about stay facilities for students having the centre in Berhampur.
“The district collectors, RTOs and the ITIs have not spared any efforts to provide hassle-free travel for the JEE aspirants. They will also be provided with free accommodation whenever required. I thank the dist teams for excellent coordination inspite of very short notice,” Chief Secretary Asit Tripathy tweeted this afternoon.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has appealed to all BJD MLAs to ensure the safety of the 37,000 students, who will appear the JEE exam across 26 centres in seven cities of the state.

On August 28, Skill Development Secretary Sanjay Singh had informed that free accommodation for needy examinees will be arranged at polytechnic institutes, engineering colleges and ITIs. The OSRTC buses will ply candidates to the exam centres, he added.
The Odisha government has also lifted lockdown in those seven cities where the exams are being conducted.
The JEE examination is scheduled to be held between September 1 and 6 and NEET on September 13.
