Berhampur: Odisha Vigilance on Friday unearthed alleged disproportionate assets accumulated by Bishnu Charan Sahu, Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) of Irrigation Baghua Project under Bhanjanagar Irrigation Division in Odisha’s Ganjam district following simultaneous raids.
According to an official release, a team of Vigilance sleuths conducted raids at seven places in Ganjam district in connection with the case.
The assets unearthed during house searches so far:
1) Rs 1,38,000 in cash
2) One triple-storey building at Berhampur
3) One double-storey building at Berhampur
4) 2 plots at Berhampur
5) Bank, postal & insurance deposits worth Rs 40 lakh
6) One Hyundai car bought in the name of a contractor.
7) 3 two-wheelers.
The details of other investments are being ascertained as the Vigilance Technical Wing is carrying out detailed measurements and assessments of the buildings, it added.
