Puri: The district administration on Thursday closed the historic Atharanala bridge on the outskirts of Puri town.
The decision of the administration came following the recommendation by Archaeological Survey of India (ASI).
As decided, the ASI will take up the conservation and beautification of the historic bridge.
The 85-metre long bridge was constructed by King Bhanu Deva of the Ganga Dynasty in the 13th century on river Musa.
