Mumbai: The attack on actor Saif Ali Khan in the early hours of Thursday sent shock waves across the industry and was among the topics trending on internet.
Netizens hailed the reel life hero as a ‘real life hero’ on learning that Saif got stabbed trying to save his kids and domestic help from an unidentified intruder who broke into their home.
“Saif Ali Khan proved to be a real-life hero as well,” wrote a user on X.

Lauding the actor for his bravery, another user wrote, “Commendable that he didnt chicken out and faced off with the intruder, takes real spine!!”
After the attack, Saif’s team released an official statement.
“There was an attempted burglary at Mr Saif Ali Khan’s residence. He is currently in hospital undergoing a surgery. We request the media and fans to be patient. It is a police matter. We will keep you updated on the situation.”
The actor’s wife Kareena Kapoor Khan was reportedly not at home during the time of attack. Going by an Instagram post, she was with her sister Karisma Kapoor, and producer Rhea Kapoor and her sister, actor Sonam Kapoor on Wednesday night.
Kareena’s team also released a statement, “There was an attempted burglary in Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan’s residence last night. Saif had an injury on his arm for which he is in the hospital, undergoing a procedure. The rest of the family is doing fine. We request media and fans to be patient and not speculate any further as the Police is already doing their due investigations. Thank you all for your concern. Team Kareena Kapoor Khan.”
